How do I get started?

What types of background checks are included with VeriFYI?
VeriFYI’s Most Valuable Protection (MVP) package includes a multi-jurisdictional (national) search of criminal records, a 50-state sex offender search, and a Social Security trace. If you are based in Texas, you’ll also receive private, secured information reported by the Texas Department of Public Safety, which contains Juvenile Records.
Need additional search options? You can customize background checks by adding on a motor vehicle report, county criminal search, employment verification, and/or education verification.
What does VeriFYI cost?
VeriFYI’s most comprehensive MVP package costs $11.95. Explore rates for additional search options here.

Can I have an applicant pay for their own background checks?
Yes, with VeriFYI, you choose who pays: the applicant or the organization. The applicant will pay by credit card when completing the secure digital background check.
How quickly do I get the results of a background check?
With VeriFYI, you’ll normally get results within one business day—and you’ll be able to track progress on volunteer applications and background checks.
Who is VeriFYI for?
VeriFYI serves tax-supported entities, including nonprofits, sports organizations, faith-based organizations, school districts, municipalities, organizations with OneStar, and Rotary Clubs. If your organization falls into any of these categories, then you’re eligible to use VeriFYI.
Do I need a release form?
VeriFYI helps you reduce data entry and the need to store private information. All applicants complete the online verification release form on the secure online link.
Will VeriFYI satisfy insurance requirements?
Yes, many insurers require a multi-jurisdictional (national) background check, and VeriFYI’s MVP package meets that standard.
What if I don’t receive results?
If your report hasn’t arrived after two business days, reach out to our support team. We’ll track it for you.
How do I know my submission was processed?
You’ll receive an email with direct links to each screened individual’s report once processing is complete, and your client dashboard will show pending and completed reports.
What payment options are available?
VeriFYI accepts credit card, check, and ACH. Manage all your payment options securely through your account dashboard.
